Laguna Beach communities are considered the crown of the Pacific Ocean in California, it is far better suited for life in comparison to Malibu community for example. Has far more appeal and of course endless art galleries. What is even more alluring are the countless beaches and 360 days of sunshine / year that draws tons of Tourists, locals and pretty much to the main attraction – the Pacific Ocean.

Certainly, I’d recommend doing some research before choosing your beach for the weekend; although one of our personal favorites is the Aliso Beach off of Pacific Ocean Highway. Outfitted with wide space parking, plenty of clean sand, fire rings, benches and the most important to us – the playground. An abandoned pirate ship makes it an ideal park to play with kids while enjoying the sunshine and the sand at the Aliso beach playground

We’ve frequented Aliso Beach ever since we went there for the first time. You might want to come back here again and again as well. It’s easy to get a spot here even around 9:00 am on the weekend. Additional parking is available on the PCH going immediately adjacent to the beach. We’d recommend parking at the beach – the rates are far lower than at Huntington or Newport beach.

Whether you prefer simply to lounge on the shore or hike the hills – you will find your little heaven in Laguna. You may also choose to stroll along the shore with magnificent front line houses to keep you entertained while wondering.

The only downturn is that there’s not that much shade available at the park or the beach so you might want to consider bringing an umbrella, although if you live in California these two items should never leave your car.
Quite often we have a breakfast right there, since you can grill some fresh eggs, salmon or whatever right on the beach.

Bonus: there’s a famous tower and a pool right in the ocean – located at the nearby Victoria beach. Here’s a quick backstory to the tower.
