If you are not familiar with Richard MacDonald’s masterpieces you will be in for a pleasant encounter.
Dawson Cole galleries, named after Richard’s grandson, span across California from Carmel in the north to Laguna Beach in the south. The two others located in the Palm Desert on El Paseo and one in Las Vegas at the Mandarin oriental. Furthermore, you can find his art in galleries all over the world.

One of Golden State’s wonders – you just have to see for yourself than hear about from a hundred people. Mesmerizing hyper-realistic athletic bodies combined with superhuman acrobatic positions make his sculptures infinitely captivating. Besides embedding aesthetic appeal through technical craft, Richards tells a narrative through each sculpture, a story reflected in a particular bodily position. Absolutely hypnotizing.

You could consider this location of Dawson Cole the Mecca of the gallery series. We had a pleasure to meet Robert Jr. who showed us around. A tranquil garden is immediately adjacent to the showroom. Populated with larger than life statues of the favorite characters. Simply stunning and absolutely a must-visit location while you’re exploring Laguna Beach Galleries with your family.
Please enjoy our amateur photographs and we hope that you’ll have a chance to see these life for yourself.
