Dollar Day Sundays – Welcome !
If you don’t know what to do in Berkeley we’ve got yet another idea. Check out the Official Website for more info on Dollar Day Sundays at the horse track.
I’ve watched way too many movies with scenes from the horse track – a place so chaotic only a seasoned gambler would feel comfortable attending. Overcrowded, musty, full of pickpockets, action and excitement! Horse track seem to be reserved to only very reach or those who love horses more than life. Neither of those presumptions is accurate.
Well, the last two terms define it well, the rest are just movie clichés. There’s no need to bet on the horses but it isn’t hard to figure out; the terminals are conveniently located and easy to operate. Pleasant staff is always around to help you as well. Clearly Dollar day Sundays are for everyone to enjoy and don’t forget to bring the family and kids!
Surprisingly, there were tons of parents with children at the horse track, making it yet another fun kid places to go. If you’re looking for things to do with children this is it – check out Dollar Day Sundays – Golden Gate Fields. From parking to entrance to hot dogs to everything ! It is only One Dollar! What?! A dollar day mimosa? Yes you can bring your aunt who likes one too many of those orange spritzes.
The horse track makes it to the list of best places to go in San Francisco Bay Area and specifically Berkeley. It is a family oriented and could be a fun thing to do with your kids. Given the fact that everything costs only a dollar, you will feel like a billionaire even if you spend left and right. It’s a Dollar day Sunday – what else can you get for a buck now-a-days? Exactly absolutely nothing since you’ll have to pay uncle Sam the tax as well. Here, at the Golden Gate Fields they don’t even charge you a tax! Boom! Success!
Of course, the best part is the race itself! It really is impressive to see the jockeys hang on to the galloping horses! Splits of seconds determine everything! I will rumble a bit more later on, when I have inspiration. For now, check out the photos from Sunday at the Golden Gate Fields. An exciting twist for you weekend stay-cation in the Bay area.
Don’t Forget your sunglasses and hats! (Maybe some sunscreen)
