Pacific City in Huntington Beach
Pacific City in Huntington Beach is a family oriented multifunctional public space that makes you want to come back again and again!

One of the best stops on Pacific Coast highway from Los Angeles to San Diego!

Hungtinton Beach Pier
When you think of entertainment by the pier in Los Angeles – Santa Monica Pier clearly comes to mind. Plagued by hordes of tourists, homeless people and pigeons SM pier or the third street promenade is less than ideal to enjoy your weekend or even a weekday by the ocean.

Recently we discovered an alternative that’s like a million times better – think of it as a Santa Monica for locals. We present you Huntington beach and Pacific City mall!

Its a surfer’s paradise and a tourist eye-candy. On any day you will see dozens of seal-like silhouettes bobbing in the water along the Huntington Pier. The surfers are so close to the Huntington Pier that you’ll feel like you’re in that tube with the rider!

It’s a pretty spectacular site to see the athletes, sometime even little kids do all sorts of insane stunts on short boards. There are a few people even fishing off of the pier, but let’s not deviate. After a little show you may walk back inland for a quick bite.

Pacific City mall

There are multiple cuisines to choose from, including appropriate for the surf vibe – the Hawaiian kitchen! Also, surprisingly the prices at all the establishments are not as insane like they are in Santa Monica.

Further along the beach (literally a four minute walk down south) you will find Pacific City mall. A nice place to take in the ocean breeze while snacking on your favorite sea food at Bear flag cafe. There are several other quick eateries in the mall, including “The Dudes’ Brewing Co” for dads.

Paséa Hotel & Spa is a perfect place to stay in Huntington beach across from the Pacific ocean.

Christmas at Pacific City.
We were lucky to meet Santa Claus in the middle of November while visiting the Pacific City mall. Well we didn’t get close to him but actually saw him descent from the sky on a parachute in a company of what seemed like three Elves.

There was a group of insanely excited toddlers waving to the father frost who was sporting a pair of red shorts as he landed on the Huntington beach across the PCH.

Overall we like Huntington Beach much more than Santa Monica and will be coming back here for manyy more year!
