Note: The Garden is OPEN during COVID
This hot spot in the Palm Desert is known for the Faye Sarkowsky Sculpture Garden, which is open all year round even during COVID lockdown! Desert dwellers should be proud of this pleasant tiny park which is perfect to check out with toddlers. Beautifully designed the Sculpture garden filled with exotic desert flora and filled with various sculptures to the brims.

Address for the Art garden:
72567 Highway 111, Palm Desert, CA 92260
Actually, it is the Palm Springs art museum 2 at the Palm Desert, but who’s judging. Like the Palm Springs Zoo, The Living Desert, which is actually located in Palm Desert…

The museum itself is not as impressive as we anticipated. Your level of satisfaction will depend on the current exhibit. The museum itself is currently closed due to the global pandemic.

In either case, we recommend stopping by this marvel following a hearty meal at Babe’s – or one of many high-quality restaurants on the River mall plaza nearby. The gardens are also conveniently located across from the Westfield Palm Desert Mall.

Art Museum Gardens with kids
This is the spot to take your hundred steps toward health! =) The garden is ideal for parents with toddlers and newborns. Also, before the lockdown, they had various events taking place outside by the museum for families to enjoy.

Also, it was fun to chase bunnies with our little dude at the adjacent chamber of commerce park. The building reminds me of the Walt Disney concert hall but poured out of concrete. I’m sure Darren Bradley would love to add this building to his photo portfolio.

If you’re craving more art, we’d recommend you stopping by the El Passeo gallery row, also known as The Rodeo Drive of the desert. The row is known for a dozen galleries that might actually stay open even during the lockdown.

If you’re a hiker enthusiast – we’d recommend a refreshing stroll along the palm trees in the Indian Canyon. Ideally planned for early in the morning which is currently open.

Side note: The main Palm Springs art museum is located in the city of P.S. at the 101 Museum Drive, Palm Springs, CA 92262 and is actually also closed during COVID.
