The CAMP in Costa Mesa is a Hipster styled concoction of eateries and some sweet overprice boutique shops. It’s definitely a great place to go on a date, and a good place to check out with your kids for brunch. There are several premium-priced kitchens to choose from. The concept reminds of the Packing District in Anaheim. They position themselves as “Hip eco-conscious retail and dining shop” -which basically means not a whole lot.

The great thing about the Camp is all the greenery planted around the premises. For a moment you might even forget that you are in the big metropolitan area of Orange County, California.

The CAMP with kids
There isn’t much-playing space available for kids to run around; however, every planter contains a bunch of the garden herbs and we had fun identifying various aromatic plants. We found thyme, lemongrass, spearmint, strawberries, etc… There’s also a hammock – if that is something that you might find fun.

You have several degustation selections to pick from. There’s a Vitaly that feels like Urth cafe, there’s an Asylum Taco place for some Mexican themed dishes, an East Borough is a sweet Vietnamese style cuisine as well as a half a dozen other dining restaurants. As you figured, everything is 50% overpriced in comparison with the Packing District in Anaheim for example.

In either case, you might enjoy unusual for USA shopping strip on your way to the Newport beach playgrounds.
