The color run with kids
The most vibrant 5k race of your life is equal parts insane, silly, and fun – it’s a perfect place to take your kids, friends, a date, or just about everyone you know. The “race” should be renamed as a color “blast” since there won’t be too much of racing at the actual event instead you will participate in an artistic flash mob.

In fact no one is really timed and you will be running from station to station getting dye blasted with various hues of rainbow. In fact this event is more of social occasion rather than an athletic contest. Many come with their family members of all ages (although we’d recommend it for kids age 4 and up).

The most vicious are of course the children who will be throwing the sachets of inked powered at you. At the most unexpected moment they summon packs of pink, orange, blue, green and yellow projectile dust and will cover you relentlessly.

The happiest 5k on the planet
Expect to run through the foggy clouds of powder while going from check point to check point. There will be tons of volunteers to direct you if you end up losing your bearings. Also there are aids to get you cleaned up – like this “Smurfette” with a leaf blowers.

Expect to be blasted with colorful hues of starch based powder while enjoying the happiest 5k on the planet of your life. You should wear as much white as possible since the dye will nicely cover the monotonous bland shirts and other garments in most unexpected patterns.

People will be throwing packets of dye onto you, you have a chance to bomb your friends and unexpected participants as well, I mean it’s a mayhem.

The color run party.
The untimed race should leave you full of energy for the after party since you probably going to be walking for most of the distance. While you are running in this so-called-race the DJ’s will be spinning some sweet mixes motivating you throughout the experience.

The color run culminates in an after-party celebration of insanity and energetic youthful energy. There is typically a grand stage with DJs and of course more colored dust to cover those who hadn’t have enough.

Despite how silly and infantile the whole concept sounds, just grab a couple of friends and I guarantee you will have a time of your life at the colorful race. There’s a million reasons why you should sign up for the color run. The event is ideal for getting your mind occupied if you’re too busy at work or have been studying for a while. It’s a mental break with a perfect level of distraction.

Be a color runner
Your kids will absolutely love running around getting dyed in colors. This will be probably one of the most memorable things you’ll do all year. Color run race would be the new next level thing that you should definitively try if you live in Los Angeles.
