Your experience at the Huntington Library botanical garden in Pasadena will be directly proportional to the time of the year of your visit. It is not a cheap excursion to check out the arboretum and the only useful piece of advice I’d like to share is go during the spring month. Also check the official website for the events, etc.
From the introduction above I’m certain you’ve deciphered that we went to the Huntington garden library during the fall. Despite our hopes the reality didn’t justify expectations, at least for the admission price.

This place might be enjoyable during the blooming season, otherwise it’s pretty barren. There were a few intriguing Asian motives and a tiny bonsai world. Otherwise we just walked around from exhibit to exhibit aimlessly.
This is not a good place for children, unless you’re planning to do a quick family photo shoot. Just like the rest of Pasadena, the Huntington Library is a pretty slow paced spot for elder folk.

What we prefer to this garden is the Fullerton Arboretum in the near by Orange County. Also we love to hang out by the Pacific Ocean at the Huntington Beach.
